iSpy Cartoons Custom Web Design
Just to get things into perspective, iSpy Cartoons is a range that a very talented artist - Steven Phillip Young - created. As he is an aspiring artist, Steven requested that I design a web site within his budget constraints so that he could refer potential contractors to, and for us to design a site that could be compared to professional artists websites.

Design Elements Used
Nows the part where we explain what makes iSpy Cartoons tick. Considering the iSpy Cartoon range's very "40's" or "50's" newspaper cartoon style, we decided that the web design would be very "newspapery." Using a selected logo font, article positioning, footnote and a gallery with commenting and ink style checkboxes, we believe we accomplished this web design well. Since the web site doesn't expect to get alot of traffic, we wanted to make a mechanism to attract visitors to the site to return, thus we introduced the newsletter sign-up. We also wanted to make it easy for people to contact Steven and therefore designed an automated email form as well as supplying his details on a page dedicated to it. Considering the type of content of the web site we also copyrighted his artwork using a free Creative Commons license.
NOTE: iSpy Cartoons is at Number 9 on Googles search for "Newspaper Cartoons" (20 June 2009)
